Lady With Tumors
I want to tell you about the Presence and power of God that sometimes comes in tangible ways when ministering to people. His Presence was evident in the miraculous healing of Sally. She had many cancerous tumors under her skin, from the waist up to her shoulders. X-rays showed the tumors to be about the size of a nickel. There was nothing the doctors could do for her. She came to us for prayer and hoped for a touch from God to heal her. So, we laid hands on her and prayed for healing. A few days later, Sally went to see her doctor for a regular appointment. She called me from the doctor’s office to tell me they took another scan, and all the tumors disappeared! The only evidence was scars in place of the tumors. The cancer was completely gone! Just speaking, “In the Name of Jesus!” His power flows forth to heal.
But there’s more to this story! Sally now met Jesus as her healer but still not as her Savior. Having such a powerful touch of His love doesn’t always mean the gift of salvation comes to the individual simultaneously. But this doesn’t mean God’s work is finished. His timetable and our expectations often don’t match. About two years later, Sally came to work for me as my office manager. She often commented that I was never sick, and it was not unusual for her to miss work 2 or 3 days a month with a cold or flu. I challenged her by asking if I could pray over her for God’s protection for three months and show her that He heals even the little things. She agreed, and without being aware of it, the days went by, and she didn’t get a cold or take any sick leave for over three months. When she realized, what happened, she eagerly came to me, asking to know about this Jesus as Savior. That day Sally asked Jesus into her heart, and now you heard the rest of Sally’s miracle story!
But Jesus said, “Someone did touch Me because I was aware that power [to heal] had gone out of Me.” Luke 8:46 AMP
