An Inoperable Tumor Healed
Tony[1] came to see us when he had less than a year to live. He was desperate! He had a cancerous tumor about the size of a walnut on the side of his neck, and the doctor told him it was inoperable. At the end of the teaching time, I went to where he was sitting to ask him if I could pray for him. He agreed, and I began to share that it is God’s will to heal to him.
As the prayer team gathered around Tony, I laid my right hand over the tumor. We prayed for about 10 minutes, and then I began to feel something happening under my hand. It was under the skin on the right side of his neck midway between the jaw and the shoulder. I asked him to put his hand where my hand was. Tony positioned his hand over the place of the tumor; it wasn’t there anymore! There was a look of amazement on his face; he just stood there, stunned by what had happened. Immediately we all began to cry and shout for joy because the tumor was gone.
The remarkable thing in this testimony is Tony never heard anyone pray in the Spirit or pray for the sick before. This was a new experience for him. He never went to a Christian church his whole life because he was a Mormon. Then I asked him if he would like to know the Jesus who healed him. Tony said YES! At that moment, he confessed Jesus as his Lord and Savior and asked Him into his heart. This was the real Jesus, not the Jesus he served in the Mormon church.
The heart of God is full of love for all humanity regardless of who or what you are. If you let Him, He will show you His great love for you. Sending Jesus from heaven for us demonstrated of how deep His love is. Tony’s healing showed him that love and enabled him to opened his heart to receive Him as his Savior. Open your heart, and Jesus will demonstrate His great love for you too!
For God, so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world [that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world], but that the world might be saved through Him. John 3:16, 17 AMP
