Laying on of hands

The Bible is filled with examples of healing the sick by the laying on of hands.

Mark 6:5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay His hands on a few sick people and heal them.

Mark 7:32 There some people brought to Him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged Him to place His hand on the man. 33 After He took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put His fingers into the man’s ears. Then He spit and touched the man’s tongue. 35 At this, the man’s ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.

Mark 1:39 And He went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons. Then a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.” 41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.” 42 As soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.

Acts 3:7 Taking him by the right hand, he [Peter] helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.

Acts 28:8 His father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Paul went in to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him.

From the risen Christ: Mark 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18c they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

The high priest’s servant whose ear was severed: Luke 22:51 But Jesus answered, “No more of this!” And He touched the man’s ear and healed him.

John 9:6 Having said this, He [Jesus] spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. 7 “Go,” He told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam…” So the man went and washed and came home seeing.
