Serving God, Serving Others
A very dedicated group of just regular people from a variety of backgrounds and ages serve on our ministry teams. Each member walks with Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior and is baptized in the Holy Spirit. They have a heart of compassion, love, and dedication to serving.
A ministry team is made up of two or three people who are members of Flames of Fire Ministries. They follow the instructions given in James 5:13-16 to anoint with oil, lay hands on the sick, and pray over them. The Holy Spirit guides and directs the ministry time for each person’s needs. Team members’ growth and training is on-going through weekly team meetings, time spent together in prayer, and monthly training classes.
We are excited over the many answers to prayer people receive at each service. “And these attesting signs will accompany those who believe: in My name, they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; they will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will get well.” (Mark 16:17-18 AMPC)
Ministry Format
Our teams are generally made up of men praying for men and women praying for women. Sometimes, depending on the circumstances, we will have a man and a woman praying as a team but always with the individual’s permission. As we begin ministering, we anoint the forehead with oil and ask you to keep your eyes open. The eyes are the lamp of the soul (Luke 11:34,36) and will often reveal the spiritual condition within a person.
We ask permission to lay our hand on your shoulder. There are times when we will ask to touch your heart or stomach area or head because the demons often hide there. Or we will touch a physical area for healing such as a back, a limb, your eyes, etc. The power of God comes through touch, and often a warm sensation is felt. You will hear us praying in Tongues as we continually seek the counsel and direction of the Holy Spirit for your needs. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are often evident as we pray, particularly discernment, wisdom, knowledge, and miracles.
We want you to know you are in a safe environment, and your privacy is guarded. We will only allow Flames of Fire Team members to minister to you. When people are not walking in obedience to the Lord, they can carry unclean spirits in them, and those spirits can transfer. We finish our prayer time by covering you with the Blood of Jesus and have you come in agreement with the Holy Spirit to walk in faith and believe in the love God has for you. (Psalm 139) Most often, the evidence of your freedom shows in the brightness of your face and eyes. Jesus is Light, and His presence fills us with light.
